Kaipara College - TurnKey CMS, Shared Environment [New Zealand]

The Opportunity: It is never easy to excel in any field let alone the public education system, however this is exactly what Kaipara College in the north of the north island of New Zealand have done. The N4B CEO was shown around the school in 2003 and was impressed by the extensive IT infrastructure the small school possessed, but  was even more impressed by the obvious respect and care shown to the principal by the students on the short tour. It is obvious that Kaipara College has something special to offer its students.

They needed a simple Website that anyone could use and administer, even very junior students AND it needed to be inexpensive.

The Solution: N4B instituted the TurnKey Schools package with many advanced features including extranets, site search, news and photo gallery modules and at a highly reduced price. It provided just the functionality / price mix that schools in New Zealand and Australia really need AND we future proof it by including maintenance upgrades and integrated hosting.

Westlake Girls School - TurnKey CMS, Shared Environment [New Zealand]

The Opportunity: Schools, Universities and Councils have long been an active sector within the N4B client portfolio. Our easy-to-use CMS products and focus on return on investment have been at home in this market sector.

It is also true we like people who are keen on imaginative and innovative solutions based on our core product and modules. Andy Tookey from Westlake is one of these people. His school needed a CMS to allow distributed content management, an events module for school events, newsletters, a fees payment mechanism and a uniform shop. While we had all of the standard functionality available off the shelf, neither a fees payment module nor a uniform shop were things we had considered.

The Solution: We implemented the V6.5 engine along with standard modules: Site Search, Site Map, Contact Us and Events Manager. We also modified our Shop and E-Commerce Module to allow it to be used for selling uniforms and accepting fee payment - another happy customer!

Visit WestlakeGirls School Website, check out the fees and uniform module, the event manager, and the virtual tour.

Dilworth Old Boys - TurnKey CMS, Shared Environment [New Zealand]

The Opportunity: The Dilworth School is a venerable charitable institution in Auckland New Zealand. The school with the Old Boys Association associated with it provide a fabulous opportunity for children who need a hand up in society. The school uses the TurnKey Schools product and has done for some years. When it came to building a site for the Old Boys Association it became obvious very quickly that their needs were more extensive. They needed a safe way for Old Boys to register and communicate with each other i.e. without publishing their email addresses on the Internet, an Old Boys Directory that includes "what are they doing now", an easy and efficient Newsletter system, a subscription payment mechanism and it all needed to be easy to use.

The Solution: We implemented the standard V6.5 engine on a shared server with standard modules that included: Registration, Profiling, Mail Manager, Newsletter, Site Search, Site Map and Extranet Builder. The Member database function was a custom build which build on our award winning experience with the ACNielsen PRADDS application.

Feel free to visit the Website, sadly it is an Extranet and so access is limited.

Give Life [New Zealand]

The Opportunity: The Give Life organisation is Net for Business' sponsored charity. Give Life is a lobby group in New Zealand, where our company was once based. They exert pressure on the government to bring some common sense to bear on the legislation governing the use and mechanism for collection of human organs for transplant. Andy Tookey works tirelessly to promote their cause, not simply because his small daughter Katie needs a transplant herself but because he and his family feel they have a special bond with families all over the world in the same position. Currently N4B is looking for charitable organisations within Australia and Europe who would benefit from our and our partners technology solutions.

The Solution: Give Life needed an online presence and needed it quickly. Our design partner Pixel Magic also came to the party along with our hosting company MBComms. We provided a TurnKey CMS hosted solution with all our standard functionality. The site is now an excellent example of how a motivated person can influence a nation with limited resources with a significant web presence.

Please visit the site givelife.org.nz and view Andy's handywork and perhaps even make a donation ;)
