Creating Contact Forms and Recipients
The Contact Us module allows you to add simple contact email forms to your website. To use this feature you need to create at least one form, and at least one recipient.

  • To create forms and recipients click 'Contact Us’ in the list of available modules.
  • You should see this screen:

  • Edit - Contact Us will display existing Contact Forms or enable you to add a new one.
  • Edit - Recipients will display existing Recipients or enable you to add new ones.
  • The Edit - Contact Us screen will look similar to this:

  • Click label name or edit button to view or edit existing form details.
  • Click on 'Add a contact form' to add a new contact form.
  • The contact form details page looks like this:

  • The 'Confirmation message' field allows you to automatically send a plain text email confirmation back to the site visitor after they send the form. The recipient's email address will be used as the 'form' address.
  • Text in the 'Thank you message' field will be displayed on the web page for the visitor after they click the SEND button on the contact form.
  • Checking more than one 'Recipient' will present the web site visitor with a dropdown list of people to send the form to.
  • Click 'Continue' to finish.

The Contact Form page (for the form set up on the previous page) displays on the website front end like this:

The Edit - Recipients screen in admin will look similar to this:

  • Click label name or the edit button to view or edit existing recipient details.
  • Click 'Add a recipient' to add a new recipient.
  • The add (or edit) recipient screen looks like this:

The Name field is what displays in the dropdown list on the website front end where more than one recipient is set for that particular contact form. It can be a person’s name, or a generic description or department - such as 'General Enquiries’ or 'Sales’.

Adding Contact Forms into your Menus
Once you’ve set up Contact Forms and Recipients you can add forms into your menus by creating items and setting them as Module - Contact Us.

Create a new item (e.g. Feedback), and set Item Type to Module, choosing Contact Us from the dropdown list.

  • Select 'Module'
  • Select 'Contact Us' in the module dropdown list.
  • A new screen will pop up with a list of the available Contact Us forms:

  • Select a Form from the dropdown list.
  • Click 'Continue' to finish.

The pop up screen will close. On the Define Item screen set item status to published and click 'Continue’ to save your new item. The menu item will now link directly to your selected Contact Form.
