Net for Business Services and Rates


All Net for Business activity is covered by our standard Terms and Conditions.

This is a description of our rates and processes. It is designed for existing customers who have a website with us either in our hosted environment or in someone else's or their own environment.

N4B offers a range of services that include; application development [building websites or web modules that do things], web design, flash development, content development, graphic design, Search Engine Optimisation, online marketing strategies, project management, technical consulting and business strategies.

N4B also maintains servers, manages co-location servers, DNS, Domain names, Secure Certificates, Payment Gateways and email.

N4B sells software too; the TurnKey Content Management System and SuperOffice CRM6 Customer Relationship Management co-location. N4B owns TurnKey CMS and is the regional distributor of SuperOffice CRM.

Typically N4B has two types of clients; long term and casual. Long term clients have a service level agreement [SLA]. In return for a monthly fee, SLA clients receive priority over non-SLA clients and preferential billing terms.

Who should have an SLA?

Anyone with medium term aspirations and whose website is important to them should have an SLA. We have an important philosophy within our company called RoiDo. It is our word, and it means the path to return on investment. Where our relationship is the 'path to ROI' for your company and ours, then this is the relationship we are looking for.  N4B reserves the right to reject an SLA application if we feel it is not in the best interests of both companies.

What is the Minimum Commitment?


The minimum monthly fee is equivalent to a three hour commitment per month at our mid rate. We invoice the SLA monthly however we 'load-balance' it quarterly. This means if you have a higher than normal month one and then two lower usage months to follow the three may balance each other out. Unused hours at the end of each quarter are lost.

How will I be charged?

The minimum chargeable block of time for non-SLA clients is 3 hours. There is no minimum time for SLA customers. Casual customers are charged in 30 minute blocks after the minimum. The minimum billing time for SLA clients is 15 minutes in 15 minute blocks.

How are my jobs scheduled?

All work is scheduled through out Client Portal. Customers with an SLA or significant projects have access to this portal via a log on and password. The portal shows all the jobs being worked on for the client, their state and when they are scheduled to be completed. The completion times are only an estimate and while we do our best to deliver items on the timeline specified this is not always possible. SLA customers have priority over non-SLA customers and urgent tasks from SLA customers always take priority.

Can I have a fixed price quote?

Of course you can. On smaller jobs N4B sets a minimum charge for fixed price work. This minimum charge is three hours at our mid rate. This doesn't mean the smallest job we do takes three hours, it simply means that often working out how much time it takes to do a small task is the same or similar to actually doing it. For smaller tasks we will make an estimate and our estimates are generally very good. On larger projects we insist on a specification and allocation of tasks so that everyone knows what we are doing. Where we have written a specification then it is often possible to receive a fixed price quotation.

How do I know I am being charged the right amount?

N4B works hard to record all our interactions with customers, employees and contractors and does so via a variety of means; email archiving, appointment and telephone records and through the Job Management system in our Client Portal. N4B provides project billing information on an invoice based on either, a fixed cost, or the amount of time N4B resources are utilised by the client - this includes all email, telephone, meetings, bandwidth charges and expenses incurred unless otherwise specified. More invoice detail is often available on request however N4B reserves the right to charge for this information.

What are your rates?

Our rates are available by contacting us here however we have a matrix below we use to set our rates. Our standard rate is '1' for all services and our highly skilled or popular resources are scaled up from there. This is a multiplier for our normal rate.

Standard Rate 1:    TurnKey User Support; Content Changes; Domain and mail setup

Support Rate 1.5:    Web & Graphic Design; TurnKey Administrator Support; Mail and Domain trouble shooting

Mid level Rate 1.75:    Template coding; TurnKey Technical Support; Flash Development; Corporate Branding; mid level custom development; training in TurnKey and SUperOffice

Advanced Rate 2:
    Specification work; SuperOffice implementation and customisation, Advanced development; online sales, marketing and branding consulting; Search Engine Optimisation

Principle Rate 3:    Business principle involvement

All N4B services are delivered during normal business ours for eastern Australia. We standard ise this despire having resources in Sydney, Wollongong, Perth, Auckland, the Coramandel and the UK. Services are also available outside these hours.

Drop everything, I need this now!

Sometimes things happened, deadlines emergencies and the like. N4B does its best in these circumstances to help. This service is only available to our SLA customers during office hours. The "I want it now" rate is twice the standard rate. Rates for work outside our normal working hours is also available however we need to have notice and rates are negotiable.
