Item Category Manager

The TurnKey Item Category Manager is a piece of functionality born out of need and experience. The module works in the back end of the administration area to allow a third dimensional categorisation of content within the site and allows personalisation through content grouping.
We use the tool to decide whether or not a page should have the printer friendly option or the e-mail a friend function. On the N4B.COM site we use it to decide if a piece of content in the TurnKey section of the site should also appear in the "solutions portal" menu.

Where personalisation options are used the Item Category Manager is used to denote what content interest group it belongs to within the site tree.

When you select "Email a friend" or "Printer Friendly Version", an icon will appear at the bottom of the page.

www.AgriQuality.com uses the tool very effectively. Visit the site and make a selection as to what country, speed and industry sector your preferences are. The menu items you see are determined by this choice. Select the change home page icon on the left, change your preferences and then re-look at the menu items. The view of the site is customised to your interests. This is accomplished using the Item Category Manager.
